Assumption of the BVM

There will be two Latin Masses offered on Tuesday 15th August,
The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
a Holy Day of Obligation in Australia:

7 AM
6 PM

Both will take place at the Garran church.

Revised Saturday Confession Time

Effective immediately, the sacrament of Confession will be available Saturday night from 6 pm to 7 pm. The new time replaces the previous time that was one hour later.

Anniversary of Fatima

On Saturday, 13th May, at 9am, there will be a sung Mass of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at Garran.
A statue of Our Lady of Fatima will be blessed at 8:10 am followed by the Rosary and Mass.

Anzac Day

On Tuesday, 25 April, Mass will be at 9AM at Garran.

Easter Monday

Mass will be at 9AM on Easter Monday, Garran.

Sacred Triduum & Easter Ceremonies

All ceremonies for the Sacred Triduum will take place at
 Sts Peter & Paul Church, Garran:

Holy Thursday: Mass 7PM; Confessions after ceremony until 11:50 PM.

Good Friday:  (Day of Fast & Abstinence)
                       Stations of the Cross: 2PM
                       Good Friday Liturgy: 3PM
                       Confessions afterwards.

Holy Saturday: Confessions 9 to 10:30 AM

Saturday Easter Vigil: 10 PM

Easter Sunday: 7:45 AM Low Mass (Campbell)
                         10:30 AM Sung Mass (Garran)

Confession times will be available:

Holy Thursday: After the Mass up until 11:50 PM
Good Friday: After the 3PM liturgy.
Holy Saturday: 9 - 10:30 AM

Lenten Recollections

Fr Blust will give two Lenten Recollections:

Wednesday 29 Mar:  

Lenten Recollection for Women:

 A 20 minute talk followed by a Holy Hour, ending with Benediction.
Confessions will be heard during the Holy Hour.
Time: 7PM

Saturday 1 Apr: 

Lenten Recollection for Men:

A 20 minute talk followed by a Holy Hour, ending with Benediction.
Confessions will be heard during the Holy Hour.
Time: 10:30 AM

Canberra Day Holiday

On Monday, 13 Mar, an ACT holiday, Mass will be at 9 AM at Garran.

Ash Wednesday (Day of Fast & Abstinence)

There will be two Latin Masses at Garran for Ash Wednesday:

6:45 am: Sung with ashes blessed and imposed before Mass;
7:00 pm: Low Mass with ashes imposed before Mass.

As permitted, the imposition of ashes will be also be offered after the Sunday Masses for those who did not receive them on Ash Wednesday.

Fridays in Lent: Mass and the Way of the Cross

On all Fridays during Lent, Mass will begin at 6 pm at Garran.

The Way of the Cross will follow the 6 pm Mass on Fridays at Garran.

Confessions will be heard from 5:30 pm.

For First Friday, 3 March, Adoration and Benediction will take place after the Way of the Cross, with Confessions also available during adoration.
